Red Friday Talks is a veteran-founded mental health initiative based in Markham, Ontario, that empowers first responders, military personnel, veterans, and their families through free peer-support training and resources. With Level 1 foundational peer-support programs delivered via accessible video modules, the organization equips participants with active listening, emotional distress recognition, self-care strategies, and communication skills applicable in high-stress environments—both on duty and beyond .
As a respected voice in public safety mental wellness, Red Friday Talks forged a strategic partnership in October 2024 with veteran-led All Around Consulting to integrate leadership development with trauma-informed support systems.
Their mission spans peer-network building and resilience-focused events, including an upcoming “Support Our Heroes” directory and continued expansion of in-person and virtual training for frontline professionals across Canada and the U.S.
Looking ahead to 2025’s 20th anniversary year, Red Friday Talks is set to amplify its impact through expanded peer-support certification (Level 2), national outreach, and reinforced collaborations with veterans, first responders, and community partners. By blending lived frontline experience with mental-health-informed leadership, the organization continues to champion resilience, reduce stigma, and foster supportive environments for those who serve.
