Boots On The Ground (Ontario) is a volunteer-run 24/7 anonymous peer-support helpline for serving and retired Ontario first responders—including police, firefighters, paramedics, nurses, corrections staff, dispatchers, military personnel, and veterans. Staffed entirely by peers with lived trauma experience, the organization offers confidential listening, stress debriefings, chaplaincy, therapy dogs, advocacy, clinician funding, and referrals—no call display, no judgment, ever .
Born from a retiring police officer’s vision and supported by a dedicated team, Boots On The Ground delivers peer support and mental-health resources tailored to the unique pressures of frontline service. Their robust services include IMPACT critical-incident debriefings, faith-inclusive Chaplaincy, Therapy Dog visits, and provincially expanding volunteer chapters—and they host ongoing community events and fundraising initiatives to sustain and grow support access .
