The Langham Fire Department (LFD) is a volunteer-driven emergency services team based in Langham, Saskatchewan, serving a community of roughly 1,500 residents and the surrounding 230 sq mi area. langham.ca Their crew of 12 cross-trained Level II firefighters, EMTs, and first responders is housed at Railway Avenue and supports mutual aid with five neighboring departments. langham.ca

LFD’s fleet includes seven emergency vehicles—ranging from fire trucks and tankers to rescue units and a medical support vehicle—with one of the only “Jaws of Life” capable units between Langham and North Battleford. langham.ca They respond to structural and wildland fires, vehicle collisions, medical emergencies, and participate in regional search and rescue efforts. langham.ca Training is held every Monday (with monthly meetings), and the department is certified as a Heart Safe community, equipped with two AEDs to provide life-saving care while awaiting ambulance arrival. langham.ca +1
