Honour House

Honour House

Honour House is a refuge, a “home away from home” for members of our Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans, Emergency Services Personnel and their families to stay, completely free of charge, while they are receiving medical care and treatment in the Metro Vancouver area.

Honour House

Honour House Society serves as a vital “home away from home” for Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans, emergency services personnel, and their families who must travel to Metro Vancouver for medical treatment.

Since 2011, this fully renovated heritage home offers 11 private, accessible bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, shared living areas, and two weeks of free accommodation, helping families avoid emotional and financial strain during difficult times.

Run primarily by volunteers and funded entirely through donations, its impact is tangible: over 16,000 nights of lodging provided—without invoice—so guests can focus on healing, not housing.

In addition to the flagship New Westminster location, Honour House has expanded its wellness mission with Honour Ranch in Ashcroft, a 120-acre mental health retreat offering outdoor therapy tailored for veterans and first responders battling operational stress injuries and PTSD.

Their recent “Tour of Honour,” a province-wide Humvee outreach journey, further demonstrates their national commitment to serving uniformed communities and raising awareness of service-related injuries

Featuring Honour House in the Support Our Heroes Directory amplifies its mission: recognizing trauma-informed care, volunteer dedication, and veteran-led leadership in times of crisis.
